Leadership in Enhancing Antimicrobial Discovery
Who we are and what we do
The LEAD: Leadership in Enhancing Antimicrobial Discovery coalition works to develop leadership and build collaboration to advance science and shape policy for action against antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
Our unique challenge
The global crisis in human resources and leadership for antimicrobial discovery and development follows years of under-investment and a fragmented and changing global science and technology landscape.
The LEAD coalition works to build a more coherent and collaborative global antimicrobial discovery and development ecosystem through cooperation, capacity and leadership development drawing experts from AMR science, policy and advocacy from academia, industry, and the public and third sectors.
The LEAD Objectives

- Foster understanding across sectors and countries.
- Contribute to policy debates and practical solutions.
- Support new partnerships for antimicrobial innovation
The LEAD Approach
